Who This Transport Software Is For

Hawk Lane is transport company software for businesses that move goods with their own vehicles and drivers — not a freight marketplace, a load exchange or a passenger travel system.

Small and growing transport companies

Businesses running a handful of vehicles that have outgrown a register and a spreadsheet.

Fleet owners and operators

Owners who want one reliable record of what every vehicle and driver did this week.

Dispatch and operations teams

Staff who assign trips, follow up with drivers and chase delivery documents every day.

Owners replacing scattered records

Anyone whose trip details live across paper slips, spreadsheets, phone calls and WhatsApp messages.

If you book trips, assign vehicles and drivers, collect delivery documents and raise invoices, this transport business software is designed for your day.

One Place for Your Transport Operations

Transport management software India operators can actually run day to day. Hawk Lane keeps the operating record of the business in one browser-based system instead of five disconnected places.

Trips and loads

  • Create trips with customer, origin and destination
  • Assign the vehicle and driver
  • Record pickup and delivery progress
  • Reuse details for regular routes and customers

Vehicles and drivers

  • Vehicle, trailer and driver records
  • Upload documents against each vehicle
  • Record expiry dates and get reminders
  • See which vehicle and driver ran which trip

Documents and PODs

  • Attach delivery documents to the trip
  • Upload POD images from office or driver app
  • Find a document from the trip record
  • Stop searching email and message threads

Expenses and revenue

  • Record driver advances against a trip
  • Capture fuel, toll and other trip costs
  • Record what the customer is billed
  • Review margin trip by trip

Invoices

  • Raise invoices linked to completed trips
  • Bill from the same record the trip ran on
  • Track what has been billed and what has not
  • Keep supporting documents with the invoice

Operational reports

  • Trips completed over a period
  • Revenue, cost and margin views
  • Driver settlement summaries
  • Advanced reporting where included in your plan

From Trip Creation to Invoice

The same record follows the work from the moment a trip is booked to the moment it is billed, so nothing has to be re-entered at the end of the month.

  1. Create the trip or load
  2. Assign the vehicle and driver
  3. Record the pickup
  4. Record advances and trip expenses
  5. Record the delivery and upload the POD
  6. Raise the invoice
  7. Review trip margin and driver settlement

If trip operations are the part of the business you most want to fix first, see our trip management software page for a closer look at advances, expenses and trip profitability.

Real Screens, Not Mock-Ups

These are screens from the working Hawk Lane product. Feature availability varies by plan.

Vehicle and Driver Records That Stay Current

Keep the master data behind every trip in one place, so assigning work does not depend on someone remembering which vehicle is free.

Vehicle records

  • Vehicle and trailer details in one register
  • Upload the vehicle documents you hold
  • Record expiry dates for reminders
  • See the trip history for a vehicle

Driver records

  • Driver details and contact information
  • Licence and document uploads with expiry dates
  • Trips run by each driver
  • Advances and settlement history on paid plans

Customers and routes

  • Customer records with billing details
  • Frequently used pickup and delivery locations
  • Reusable details for repeat work
  • Trip history by customer

Reminders help your team notice an approaching expiry date. They are an operational prompt based on the dates you enter — not a compliance guarantee, and not a substitute for your own statutory checks.

Trip Expenses, Billing and Margin

Most transport businesses know roughly what they earned last month. Fewer can say which trips actually made money. Recording cost and revenue on the same trip record is what closes that gap.

Advances and expenses

  • Record the advance given to the driver
  • Capture fuel, toll and other trip costs
  • Attach receipts to the trip record
  • Settle against the advance afterwards

Invoicing

  • Raise the invoice from the completed trip
  • Keep the POD with the billing record
  • Track billed and unbilled trips
  • Share supporting documents with the customer

Trip margin

  • Revenue against recorded cost per trip
  • Standard profitability reporting on paid plans
  • Compare routes and customers over time
  • Advanced reporting where included in your plan

Hawk Lane produces operational billing records. It is not accounting software and does not perform GST e-invoicing, e-way bill generation or statutory filing. Your accountant continues to handle taxation and filing using your existing process.

A Simple TMS, Not a Heavy Transport ERP

Transport ERP suites try to cover accounting, taxation, payroll, procurement and enterprise controls. Hawk Lane deliberately does less, and stays quicker to adopt because of it.

If your business genuinely needs integrated accounting, taxation and payroll in one system, a transport ERP is the right category to evaluate. If what you need is control over trips, vehicles, documents and billing, a focused TMS gets you there faster.

What Hawk Lane Does Not Do Today

We would rather lose a demo than win one on a promise the product cannot keep. These are not available today, and we do not describe them as coming soon.

LR and Bilty generation

Hawk Lane stores the documents you upload against a trip. It does not create a lorry receipt or Bilty.

GST e-invoicing and e-way bills

No e-invoice generation, no e-way bill creation and no integration with the GST portal.

Tally and FASTag integrations

Neither is a live integration. We will not describe an export or manual step as an integration.

Live GPS and route optimisation

Trip status comes from updates your team enters, not a telematics feed. There is no automatic route optimisation.

If any of these are essential to you today, please say so on the demo call. We will tell you honestly whether Hawk Lane is the right fit right now.

India onboarding and support are available in English, Hindi and Punjabi by phone at +91-78145-91688 and by email, with demo and setup calls scheduled at a time that works for your team in Indian Standard Time.
